Baby, I’m a Star!  Or at least, that’s the name of our Fluid Movement scene this year. Fluid Movement is a local (to Baltimore) performance art group that puts on two annual shows- a roller show and a water ballet. For the past three summers I’ve participated in the water ballet, which is wacky, glittery, fun, and exhausting. This year’s theme is an outer space adventure- Rebel Teen from Starship 12. It’s my first year directing and I can’t imagine a better experience. Our scene has been so unified, on point, and positive. Even yesterday when we ran the show in our costumes for the first time and half the scene found themselves in horrible death traps, they were still laughing. That’s what I look for in friends, people who face death due to spandex and laugh.
